The return of the Contemporary Cultural Cafés was welcomed with great enthusiasm by enthusiasts of FOROF’s project, inspired by the Cabaret Voltaire and the Bal Tic.Tac—cultural meeting places that shaped the rules of intellectual exchange in the early 20th century.
At the fourth gathering, the Silent Reading Party dedicated to poet Alda Merini explored the themes of love, spirituality, and madness, in collaboration with La Setta dei Poeti Estinti. Guided by the voices of Emilio Fabio Torsello and Mara Sabia, the many participants accepted the invitation to ‘abandon’ their smartphones and embark on a journey into the depths of the poetic production of the author of Terra Santa and La pazza della stanza accanto, after visiting Alicja Kwade’s exhibition INFRASUPRA. The invitation to dedicate time to the exploration of a personal text once again generated reflections, readings, and the writing of verses that were deposited at the end of the evening in FOROF’s green box, reserved for the thoughts of the CCC Community. The final toast sealed new encounters and friendships, with good wishes until the next event.
