LOTIC: Water — Live Performance
EPISODE 5 — SEASON I · LOVOTIC-X Programme
FOROF and Soundwalk Collective presented LOTIC: Water, the final Episode of the LOVOTIC-X programme activating the immersive installation LOVOTIC. For this last appointment, musician, producer and vocalist Lotic performed a live set inspired by her album Water: a tender meditation on loss, ancestry, love, resilience and the transition toward fluidity.

Water, metamorphosis, survival
Water evokes fluidity as a force of regeneration and renewal. In her performance, Lotic imagines a post-anthropogenic world where new life forms have adapted to an Earth entirely submerged: a sonic reflection on how bodies — biological and symbolic — evolve, resist and transform across changing ecosystems.

A submerged planet
The name “Lotic” means “created by water, living in water”. The performance conjures a speculative scenario in which humanity is forced to reinvent its own forms of life: a poetic inquiry into whether our cells, identities and bodies can adapt, thrive and multiply in an unfamiliar ecosystem.

In dialogue with LOVOTIC-X
This final Episode concludes the LOVOTIC-X journey, a multisensory programme exploring the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence through the lenses of sexuality, identity and gender. Lotic’s performance joined the series of Episodes featuring Thomas Doxiadis, Agnes Questionmark, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Invernomuto, forming a cohesive narrative between sound research, performance and speculative futures.

Conviviality
As with every Episode of the Season, the evening concluded with a food-and-wine experience curated by Rimessa Roscioli, extending the resonance of the performance into a moment of shared conviviality.
