FOROF's artistic and cultural programming is divided into Seasons of site-specific exhibitions activated by Episodes and Contemporary Cultural Cafes
The artistic programming involves inviting a contemporary artist and curator each year to create a Season - site-specific installation - in dialogue with the archaeological site of the Basilica Ulpia (2nd century AD), interpreting with innovative languages spirit, history and place.
Selected artists are invited to create a novel narrative through contemporary themes with an immersive and multisensory character.
As of November 2024, FOROF has inaugurated a new project: the Contemporary Cultural Cafes, which draw inspiration from the historical cafes of the Twentieth Century Vanguards, places where the artistic community found the ideal environment to experiment in a multidisciplinary way.
Configured as moments of regeneration, rebirth, aggregation, and exchange, FOROF's Contemporary Cultural Cafes offer a contemporary format that also looks to experiences that belong more to the present day and, in particular, the so-called Literary Parties, which have recently sprung up in New York.
