EPISODE 2 – DIHET: A NEW DAY ARRIVES
Season 5 reignites with the poetic performance of Jonida Prifti.
Spiritual and immersive. On February 5, the performance of Albanian poet and vocalist Jonida Prifti filled FOROF’s hypogeum with ancestral sounds, holding the audience captivated within the deep atmospheres of the poem DIHET – A NEW DAY ARRIVES. Dozens of guests chose to spend an evening in close dialogue with the marble remains of the Basilica Ulpia, an archaeological treasure periodically activated, Season after Season, through the contribution of artists and performers.
Participants in the second Episode of the fifth Season experienced Jonida Prifti’s sonic word penetrating space-time, immersing themselves in the sounds and atmosphere of the poetic performance and in the embrace of the environmental installation INFRASUPRA by Alicja Kwade, which evokes the three temporal dimensions enclosed within the reality founded by Giovanna Caruso Fendi: archaeological, geological, and human.
Once again, Rimessa Roscioli interpreted the artistic content through a sensory key, presenting a gourmet menu conceived as a natural extension of the performance DIHET: bean soup (fasule), byrek, and trilece evoking Albanian cuisine.
FOROF’s Artflix is always full of surprises!
