FOROF unveils the cast of ‘INFRASUPRA’, the site-specific exhibition headlining Season V of the experimental space founded by Giovanna Caruso Fendi to foster an ongoing and permanent dialogue between archaeology and contemporary art.
The artist is Alicja Kwade, a Polish-born internationally renowned figure celebrated for her extensive body of work that challenges scientific and philosophical concepts, dismantling the boundaries of perception. Currently in residence at the German Academy Villa Massimo, she will be welcomed on October 28 at Foro Traiano 1 to inaugurate her first intervention – sculptures and large-scale installations – in a non-conventional environment (on view from October 29, 2025 to July 28, 2026).
The exhibition project by Alicja Kwade, which will be periodically activated through artistic Episodes connected to the theme of the show, is curated by Valentino Catricalà, currently engaged as a museum director in the development of a project for the Ministry of Culture in Saudi Arabia.
Author of books and essays, member of the advisory board of ZKM – Zentrum für Kunst und Medien in Karlsruhe and Esea Contemporary in Manchester, he has curated exhibitions for major museums and galleries including the Grand Palais in Paris, Fondazione Prada (Milan, Tokyo), the Hermitage (Saint Petersburg), Palazzo delle Esposizioni and MAXXI in Rome, and the Media Center in New York.
